I'm going to start making little swatches of blocks with my left over yarn balls and then sew them together to make a large funky afghan. Lol.

I added! Ugh! I made new oven mitts and hot pads for my kitchen and none of the fabric I had was what I wanted.

I did use up some of my extra yarn by making these cute apple cozies. Button eyes came from stash as well.

Also bought extra fabric to make some new clothes. I'm excited for new clothes!

With the holidays approaching I'm getting ready to crack out my holiday craft stash. Is it sad that I stock up on holiday crafts after the season is over for the next year? I have three under bed boxes filled with Halloween/thanksgiving/Christmas crafts!

Now that is a cute project!  I bring apples to work all the time but I usually just throw them in my tote bag and then have to be sure to wash them well when I get ready to eat them...ick...an apple cozy sure would be nice!

I also buy supplies and things after the season...I especially love Halloween...but I have stopped...really, I have...

I like these scrappy yarn projects, pretty & useful! You know I just make poms, lol.
Sometimes I buy after the season but only if it's really good stuff at a terrific price. Like I have a stash of xmas cards, a big one,  because they were $1/box buy one get one free!

Gah! I JUST thought about your neat project this morning because I washed my nectarine, wrapped it in my knitted cotton dishcloth, and tacked the edges on top with a hairtie! My fruit is embarassed by its' horrid little cover, and it thought...you know, if I made one of these fun mowhawk ones, I wouldn't have had to scramble to make due this morning!

I swear, it's on my list. I want dos of these babies...

I just totally reorganized my crafting room, like major overhaul. So many scraps, so much stash, lol. I'm ready to do another scrappy project with the teeniest wee bits I've saved. AIMR, you'll like this one I think Wink...

(If you peek in my flickr I posted some other childhood crafts she had saved. Some of them are impressive for a child, looking back now that I've got kids that age myself. I credit my Gran, she was a harsh teacher. Very inspiring, generous, but didn't like to show you over and over again so you had to get it right away or that was IT!)
