It helps to have "stuff" when you are in the mood to make a TM patch, ATC or shrine! Grin  Never know what mood you will be in!

I have a friend who teaches middle school art!  She makes these amazing sock monsters that she gives creative backstories to.

Check her out!  So cute! Sock Monster Problems

She is having her students make their own sock monsters next week and put a call out to her network to see if anyone could donate socks, new or gently used.  I just happen to have a big plastic candy bucket full of never been used socks!  I got them meaning to make a bunch of cute sock creatures of my own for friends and just never did.  Now the inspiration to do so is long gone and I am so glad to be able to hand them off to a good cause.  In addition, she is also receiving part of my ribbon and button stashes.  Again, my tastes have changed and I just will never again use all of those random black buttons.   Grin Grin

I laughed out loud at the sock monster problems. Hilarious! Just what I needed on a Friday AM. And lots of wonderful monster ideas...socks or not!

I only made one item from stash this month, but in lighter news, the only supplies in bought were what was needed for a swap, which for this shopaholic is progress.  I donated a large plastic tote of yarn, foam shapes and stickers, glitter, sequins and felt to the daycare to use as art supplies for the kids there, and another one full of craft sticks, foam shapes and stickers and felt to my church Sunday school for the same.

But I did knit myself a comfy slouchy hat.   It's knit in double seed stitch in baby coordinates soft grey yarn.  I rarely make things for myself so I'm thrilled with this one.

Here are my stash project photo dump for February!

Superhero PJ's

Fabric headbands

Keychain

Notebook

Fabric & Leather pouch - the fabric and zipper were stash

Leather and fabric tote - the fabric was from stash

Hair wrap for my SIL

I used a few bits and did have to buy a piece of leather for a swap, but other than that I haven't added supplies to the stash ......... however ....... I did buy a new tool that jut arrived yesterday. I purchased a heat press so that I can do HTV more effectively. It will also help me use up these shirts that have been sitting around waiting to be decorated!

Spools of vintage thread: greens by Wendi Dunlap, on Flickr

Color: Green
For: A significant other or loved one
Pattern: Pinstripes

Challenge #1: Finish off the oldest WIP you can find in your stash
Challenge #2: Go green in the other sense - craft something with recycled materials or that can substitute for a disposable product.
