I made a few small projects as I was working on my IYP swap wall hanging...just to feel productive...

More coasters...

Blue set

Green set (one must be in use somewhere!)

Two scrappy mug rugs

I received the cutest little geisha style cut-outs from teag in the Happy Mail Swap, so I made them into book markers that will be donated to the library:

Hope everyone is over the back to school craziness and in the holiday season crafting mood!

I love everything you make, but the last mug rug with the orange/turquoise/birch tree combo is great!

Thanks!  That last one is my favorite, too.  I made a quilt with those fabrics that went to a friend, so I was happy to have some scraps to remember it by...my scraps are my memories! Grin

Kbrison-how exciting! A girlfriend of mine is due some time in Jan too =D maybe I can whip one up for you?

Lindy- omg that lantern!! Where did you buy that?

Thanks Yoo-hoo! That's a nice awning.

Always- that wall hanging is beautiful! I wish I was good at watercolor painting

Bunny- you're the sweetest making those cards for the women in your church

Okay so something that's not a knitted hat

I made these cookies. The aqua one, I made with mixing instant jello powder and I experimented with edible markers

My sister is a professional cookie maker...she enlightened me to the use of edible markers!  How fun (and delicious!)...my kind of crafting, or cooking!

I have those SAME PLATES!  They DO NOT BREAK!  In the commercial for them, they try and they don't.  So we tried it too (they were my MIL's plates so I don't care if they break  Roll Eyes Tongue) and all they do is bounce a little.  Smiley

bunny1kenobi, you really worked hard on these beautiful cards and it shows.

Kbrison, I love your owl card. The idea of custom kits is genius. What a great package.

Butterflyangel, your cookies are very colorful. Did the jello give a taste to the cookies too or just some color?

Alwaysinmyroom, you really inspired me to do some water coloring but I convinced myself to finish the fabric projects I had started first. So, I did sew two tops and a third is almost finished. While I was at it, I thought I could make a few coasters since we always end up with water condensation on the table. I was still wondering what they could look like, what to put inside and so on... when I see you already made a bunch of new coasters! And they are good looking too. My favorites are the green ones. So, new decision, stop overthinking every project and just do it already.

yoopidou---coasters are a real easy way to use up scraps of everything...I use leftover batting as the inside, but you can use flannel, other fabrics...etc.  I plan on using fabrics that I am not wild about or leftover pieces from other projects...that reminds me, though...I had promised a tutorial on how to do the cheaty binding...which is not really binding at all and so fast and easy...I know what my next project will be now...

I can't wait to see your tops...I want to make more clothing, just tops and simple skirts, for the fall and winter.
