Apple bananas are supposed to smell faintly like apples. I can't say they really do and they don't taste like apples either. They are delicious, not as sweet as the long ones and more tangy.

With two kids graduating this year, I have turned into a lei making machine.

Candy leis for the friends:
9 red vines leis

14 gummy crawlers lei:

And this is what I found in one of the worm candy bags:

Ah, ah, a shark in the bag. I was lucky there were still worms inside! Grin I am still laughing...

Origami stars leis:

Thank you all. My favorite is also the stars lei but it takes longer to make. I don't remember exactly but there are about 140 stars in this lei. It costs very little, just the sheets of paper that I cut in strips but took about 6-8 hours. The gummy candy leis take only 10 minutes and cost around $1 each. The single braided ribbon leis cost even less but take about 30 minutes to make.

Audio, when you put the tiny picture of the green background, I did not notice how beautiful it was. It's just perfect with the parrots and fish. I find the cards very funny and cheerful. The owl wall hanging made me smile too. You found some really cute fabrics and you had the eye to put them together. On the box, is it yarn you spun yourself?

Lindy, I like the bright colors you used in your embroidery. It makes it very summery.

I made one new lei with ribbon but a thick one. I did not want to spend 6 hours on it threading it one needle length along yards and yards of ribbon. So, I tried sewing bunches of vaguely rolled ribbon with my sewing machine and then threading it by hand but more tightly. It took maybe one hour. It would look better if I could tighten it more but I ran out of ribbon. This uses so much ribbon, I would say almost 100 yards.

Lindyv - no problem it was fun to do. I'm thinking of doing a craft day with my family and teach them some of these techniques. I didn't know there was a hoopla along, I will have to check it out!

Yoopidou thank you. The yarn I got at a craft store. I tried spinning once but it's just not my craft, I'm not very patient.
