I have not been doing a lot of small crafting because I have been working on two afghans.  This one is for a friend who asked for these particular colors for her newly decorated family room.  It is huge! Took me just about all of February.

The design is a ripple with odd numbers in each row.

Folded up:

I also made a baby afghan for a baby born at the end of February. Made with stash of whatever colors I could find that were sort of neutral. I wasn't sure what colors the nursery was, but the baby was a boy, and I was not going to go buy yarn.  I used the blanket stitch that I learned from LBABB!  I love that stitch! It measures 35x50 inches.

AIMR, I love the kindness you showed to those people by making them such special blankets!  I am also glad you enjoyed the blanket stitch...it's mindless once you get started, but the end result is so pretty.

Buuuuutttt...the colors of the big afghan....ummmm.....errrrrrr....

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.  Roll Eyes

The ripple stitch design is really pretty but not my favorite color combo either!

AIMR - Those afghans are awesome - I love that ripple stitch. The colors aren't so bad - if I stand back and look at them they go together  Grin I love the color combo of the second one!

butterflyangel - those sweets look divine! Slutty Brownies! I had forgotten about those - I made them a few times for the teachers at my kiddos school and they devoured them. Those things are sinful!

My partner in the OWS received - I claimed her for a pinterest inspired necklace. This was fun to put together since it's rodeo time in Houston Smiley

Thanks, texscrapper!  Hubby really liked the ripple afghan but I told him he would have to pick different colors.  I will see if my friend will take a picture of it in her family room...lol--they definitely don't match up to my family room colors!

I love western stuff!  The bracelet is really nice!  Is the rusted boot a local thing?  I love it!

I made six ATC's for myself, family, and friends:

Do these count as six separate projects or one group of items?

(The quote is from the movie: 'The Help'.)
