Hi everyone,

I was wondering where is the best place, or best way, to hang a cuckoo clock? For Christmas I got the first one on this page http://www.bavarianclockworks.com/hand-carved-clocks/ from my husband...it is absolutely beautiful and I love it but is massive! Anyone have any advice on the best way to display these so they balance a house nicely?

Thanks in advance! Smiley

I know this probably isn't exactly what you're asking for, but my initial thoughts are to hang it in a prominent place ( not like in a room you don't go into as much or in an out of sight area or in a nook) -- after all, I'm sure that is why you got such a beautiful clock to be displayed prominently, right?   Also, I'm sure it is heavy so make sure to hang it securely, if you're using a nail or screw probably want to use I guess several of them or a special hanging piece (I'm not sure how big clock is) and hammer them in at an upward angle. And make  sure to hang it on a stud or other pretty solid area of the wall.   You want to make sure it's high enough  yet low enough for example, if there are children around, a level where they can see it yet not climb on a chair and reach it, and I think cuckoo clocks have to be rewound frequently, so perhaps not too high out of your arms reach.  I would give it precedence over other items on your wall, even if you have to rearrange what you've got on the wall.  I love cuckoo clocks (I don't have any!)... but I love them.   I remember my German uncle having one at their house and seeing it as a little girl and it was always so fun.  Enjoy yours!! :-).
