Hi all! I wanted to get my Aunt a few mitten patterns, but I am not a knitter by any stretch of the imagination so I need some help. My Aunt does absolutely beautiful intricate mittens already, and I showed her a photo of some cat mitts which she thought were really cute. I found the pattern on www.joridweb.com and would like to get it for her for Christmas. However, I just realized it is only available in Norwegian, and not in English. Would these be impossible without English instructions?

It depends on if the pattern is charted. There's also several places online, including here at craftster - https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=129918.0 - that offern translations of knitting terms.

Thanks for the reply! I spoke to her as well and she said as long as the charts were there, she would be able to figure it out. I'm excited to see all the beautiful things she'll make!
