This is my Donna the Pteranodon costume for the library Dinosaur Party.  I know  a pteranodon is not technically a dinosaur.  The kids were cool about it.

It's made from fleece and the head, the feet, and the wings are padded out with foam so they can maintain their shape.  I can see out of an opening underneath the beak that is covered in one way fabric.

I used Ludi's tutorial to make the head based on a miniature plastic model of a pteranodon.

Ludi's tutorial: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=324988.0

Thanks Ludi!

This is fabulous!  And thanks for directing me to the tute.  What thickness of foam did you use, and where did you get it?

Thanks, dulcet.  I used 1" upholstery foam from Joann Fabrics.
