hello everyone!  it's been a long, long time.  hope you're all doing well!  and for those of you who don't know me, check out my profile and stuff if you want to get to know me.   Grin

anyway, why we're here; about 2 years ago - perhaps 3*.  I'd have to go through my posts to figure out the correct amount of time - I started working on a rather large cross stitch project of Marilyn Manson.  yes, I am this obsessed with him.  anyway, the pattern came out larger than I had hoped, so stitching it on 14 count Aida cloth would have been too much for me...at least without the use of a stitching frame (I really need to get one of those things).  plus, framing it would have been crazy.  so, I decided the best thing to do would be to stitch this on 28 count Evenweave.  I now have a deep hatred for 28 count Evenweave, but I know I'll get over it eventually.  I always do.  so, without further ado, I present the most insane cross stitch project I have EVER done in my life...

size: 10in x 10in
colors: 7
stitches: 89,102

next pattern!   Grin  Grin  Grin

*ok so; I went through my posts.  I WAS TOTALLY OFF!  it was only 17 months ago (around June 8, 2014) when I started this project.  so only shy of a year and a half!  wow!  and technically it was even less than that because I did set it aside for quite a while after I moved and for some time before I moved because of all that's involved in moving.  but that's it!  it was LESS than 2 years!   Shocked

update: I was going to have this professionally framed, but I got paranoid and was afraid to leave it in the store.  lol.  I was afraid they would snag it on something or worse yet, lose it.  so I framed it myself in a regular off-the-shelf frame and used pieces of black cardstock to "mat" it.

That is crazy amazing!  Having done cross stitch and on 28 count, I know how many stitches you did.  Looks photographic, it is so detailed.   Shocked

Hey dear, we totally haven't communicated in a while. (Like an entire user name ago on my behalf, lol.) Anyway, this looks incredible! Such an ambitious project!! I have been obsessed with him musically recently myself. I can't stop listening to The Golden Age of Grotesque. Can't wait to see your next project, still loving my Labyrinth goodies! Smiley

I would have gone blind after the first thousand stitches. After 89,000+ my mind would have been fried, too! Great dedication on your part!
