I think this idea was one of my very first pins nearly 4 years ago. I finally dug around on the interwebz for trophy parts and was pleasantly surprised at the low cost. Less than $4 each for these and many for around $2 each.

I used corks reclaimed from empty whiskey bottles that I have been saving for yearrrrrrrrs. Turns out not all booze bottles have cork tops that will fit wine bottles, so I am glad I checked first!

The turkey was for wine bottles around our house, but shortly after taking the picture I dropped it and it broke at the legs. I'm going to try to glue it, but dangit! The runner is for my SIL who has run a couple of marathons in the last couple of years. The doe and buck are for our dry and sweet vermouth bottles, respectively. Sweet for buck, because that's usually want The ManFlesh uses and the doe for the dry, because that's what I usually use (YEY MARTINIS!)

Love the deer; they continue the lodge-ish feel of so many of your home decor crafts.

Thanks y'all!  I was so tickled when I found the critters; I have never seen a trophy with any animal other than a horse, I don't think. Turkey and deer are the most prevalent non-small wildlife around our neighborhood, so it's fun to have representations of them around.
