I made this Buddy inspired costume last year to wear for Christmas

I added the plush fur to the dress. I made the hat, the curly toed shoes and the Etch A Sketch purse (close up here: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=441651.0 ) I even made a snow globe of my favorite bar as a gift to them (where I am pictured above) AND I smelled like maple syrup!!! =0)

I travel from PA to CT for Christmas eve in costume every year. Last year, it was rainy and cruddy and I almost didn't do it...but I thought that would be when people need the smiles most. While waiting for my coffee at a Rest Stop, I was approached by two tiny little girls in Elf on the Shelf jammies that wanted to know if I worked for Santa. My heart almost exploded.

I had so much fun in this costume, I'm probably going to fix it up and wear it again this year (the shoes and hat didn't make it). People get so caught up in the chaos of the holidays that they forget to smile and more importantly to make other people smile =0)

Such a fun, generous and uplifting costume. Of course, you should wear it again!

Thanks guys! A lot of people at the party were mad that I smelled so good...I used a maple syrup fragrance oil to get into character =0)
Maybe I'll bring a big bowl of Buddy's spaghetti this year *yuck*
