I was asked to arrange some 1-year anniversary celebrations at work since we've been open 1 year next month. One of the things I suggested, and our manager loved, was an art piece that everyone could contribute to. After putting out some feelers to see what people would be happy doing I decided to keep it very basic, so all people have to do is stick their hand in paint and create some handprint leaves...easy! Cheesy

The canvas is 100 x 150cm. I painted the border and included some of the papers, stickers and snippits from work. Then painted the basic tree. Once everyone has added their prints, in one of 5 colours I've chosen, I'll touch up the painting as necessary.

And a few in-progress pics...

Sketching out the tree in paint

Adding some gesso to create some texture

Then painting in more detail again

Corner details

I can't wait to see everyones reaction to this, and to see what it looks like with the handprints when it's up in our company dining room! Smiley

Oh, it's lovely as is, but I bet it's going to be extra special once your co-workers have participated. I hope you'll share a photo of the leafed-out tree!
