This is the first in a series of portraits I am making based on 'selfies' from my personal Facebook account. This one is of a girl I was friends with in high school for a year or two and then drifted away from. I worked on making this paper mosaic for nearly 200 hours. I have spent more time focusing on every detail of her face for the past few months than I likely ever did back in the day when we were friends in reality. Sarah was kind enough to give me permission to use her photo for this project.

That's incredible!  The level of detail you managed to include is astonishing, and I love all the different textures.  How big is the finished piece?  Fantastic work!

Thanks so much everyone! The finished size is 12x12" I am hoping to do a series of 24 selfies over the next two years.
