My favorite Christmas songs are sleigh ride, jingle bell rock, and rockin around the Christmas tree.

Too many Christmas/winter songs to even attempt a single one.
I have to listen to the Cajun holiday compilation from ages ago. My copy is on cassette tape (the real reason we cannot get rid of our cassette players) but I'm starting to recreate it electronically.
and I'm a sucker for big band / swing versions of anything. Brian Seltzer's Christmas albums and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's are permanently in the rotation.

I have one item completed, plans/supplies for at least two other things, as well as other stuffers.

However, I have the cutest wrench in the crafting plans. We got a puppy for my husband's birthday and we can't leave her without supervision. So my originally planned crafting time is now is now "no no, don't chew on that. Leave the cat alone. Stop eating the big dog's food" time.

I have updated the checkins, so you can see where you stand at this point. Smiley

The 4th check in was posted on Saturday - I'll check on Monday night for the final time.

Can't single out one, but a few are:  God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, Frosty the Snowman, Winter Wonderland and Deck The Halls.

I love beautiful choral ones like In the Bleak Midwinter, as well as super cheesy j-pop ones like TOKIO's "Ding Dong". I also love O Holy Night, especially a version sung over a piano accompaniment of Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring.

"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is my all time favorite. It always brings a tear to my eye.

My Aunt passed away suddenly the other day and I have been a complete mess. Her family is the reason why we started our Christmas breakfast buffet tradition over a decade ago. No matter which direction our lives went, we just wanted to eat lots of food and laugh with each other even if for only one day a year.

I walked all over town today, and happened to wander by AC Moore and picked up a bunch of things for swapping. I'm working on a bunch of things at the moment...it's helping to clear my mind, big time. I have to keep on chugging along.
