I stitched this up for two reasons... The first is it fit the theme for the Ongoing Hoopla Along and second my daughter is slightly obsessed with mermaids at the moment.

It was supposed to be completed in August for the hoopla along theme of monochrome but I didn't get it done. Luckily it fit Septembers theme of monsters and mythical creatures!

The design is from Urban Threads

How lucky you are that your daughter is obsessed with mermaids instead of the usual princesses. Much more interesting to stitch! This is a great design, and doing it so simply and cleanly really shows it off.

What a fun theme! How did you come up with the pattern design? I love the layout as well as the stitching
