I just finished these last night and was horribly impatient for the sun to come out this morning so I could take pictures.  These have to be my absolute favorite craft to-date.  And even better?  I designed them myself Smiley pat on the back

I made the first one for a Designers Challenge over on Ravelry (ends today ... nothing like cutting it close!)  I made the pillow cover as two separate panels, seamed at the top with buttoned openings on the sides to make it super-easy to pull the pillow form out for washing.

For the back I ended up making a simple ribbed pattern.

I had so much fun making the first pillow that I had additional ideas I wanted to try, so here is the second pillow.

This one has a better feel to it - the vertical stripes in between accent the cables.

Again, a fairly simple pattern for the back.

The second pattern is definitely my favorite.  I'd love to make one or two more ... but I think hubby might feel overwhelmed by all the new pillows in the house  Cheesy

These are nifty, and I love the buttons!

They make me envision curling up with a good book and a big mug of cocoa....

These are super cute, and a fun way to try out some new stitches.  Like giant swatches, but with a practical use afterwards.  And the buttons are so fun.

Buttons were hard to find for the blue pillow. There are 24 of them ... more than I had in my stash of any one kind.  I thought about doing mis-matched white ones but I didn't even have enough of those in the same size!
