For some reason, the more obscure a form of needlework is, the more I want to try it... So, about 9 years ago I stumbled upon teneriffe lace. And I started looking on ebay, ecrater, in every antique shop and thrift store, hobby shops, etc. for the tool needed. The problem was, I couldn't really find any information on it, and didn't know the actual name. Then, just the other day I was on ebay and I found it! Lucky me, it was a buy it now, so... I did. A few short days later it's in my hot little hands and I am attempting to make sense of the directions. But, I thought I'd share my first attempt with you all, in hopes that there is a closet teneriffe maker on here who can give me some tips! (And I chose this forum because the technique is a combination of weaving and knotting to make the designs. Mods, please feel free to move the post as necessary!)

Here the wheels are... still unopened in its original packaging!

It was agony to open the envelope, but I finally made myself do it.

Progress shot.

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.
