When I was in San Francisco earlier in the summer I had picked up 4 of these cute sumo wrestler tea towels. I had a vague notion of turning them into a shirt, so when I sat down to do it I kept it simple. Not sure how long it will hold up, but still not bad for $6 :-)

I like it, and it looks great on you. Were the towels big enough for the backside, too, or did you use some other fabric there?

Too cute - adorable as tea towels OR a shirt!  How comfy is the fabric to wear?  I would worry about a thicker fabric being too warm.

Ooooooh - and if it wears out or breaks down as a shirt, I wonder if you would be able to rework back into towels or dishcloths!

I think it is really cute!

I like the idea of turning them back into towels once they wear out a bit...repurposing the repurposed! Grin

I used 4 of the towels, so two for the front and two for the back. :-)

The fabric on these were pretty light, that was why I thought I could turn them into a shirt. They are a sort of light cotton.

This is so clever. I've seen some lovely tea towels and never thought of using them like this.  Well done.

Creative idea. The fabric is very cute. I like how you used the two different colors. Yeah for this unique summer blouse!

I love everything about this; the way it looks with the red-white color contrast, the fun fabric, the fact you repurposed tea towels for it It's awesome!
