I made a foundation paper pieced bee and made it into a hexagon pouch. The zipper is a little wonky because it meets at a corner, but generally it was pretty successful. I really love foundation paper piecing, there are so many fun patterns!

That bee is gorgeous.  Was it very difficult to put together? I'm not much in to patchwork but I'd love to try something like that.

Ooh, I love this! Bees are the best. Your fabric choices are lovely! I really like the background floral.

I had to look closer at this because my son's teacher last year has her room done in bees. It's super cute. Well done.

It's lovely.  And what a nice idea of how to use a small piece.  I always want to try patterns, but don't want to commit to a whole quilt.

That is precious!!!  I admire paper piecing, I tried it once and had a fit of rage because I couldn't remove the paper  Grin
Ah well, lesson learned!

If you've never done foundation paper piecing I would probably start with a bigger project just to get the feel of it. It's not hard but the pieces are smaller and there's quite a few of them. This was the third paper pieced pattern I did.

I love paper piecing because it requires so much less precision than patchwork.

Thanks! It's from the line Briar Rose by Heather Ross.
