I saw a pegboard thread rack on pinterest and realized that it would work perfect in the tiny corner I rearranged to fit my new old singer treadle sewing machine. The sewing machine still needs to be cleaned up before I can use it but I decided the work on the pegboard first.

Humble beginnings:

I glued wooden dowels into the pegboard with gorilla glue and arranged them based on the crafting supplies I needed to store/display.

Once it was dry I painted the entire thing with acrylic paint. I wasn't perfectly happy with the plain blue so I took a owl stamp and dipped it in white paint to create the owl accents. Then I just painted simple branches to connect the owls.

Finished Paint (The picture is crooked because of me not the wall)

Then I organized my thread according to color and discovered that I own a ridiculous amount of pink thread for reasons I don't understand and that I desperately need to go buy some black thread. So for anyone who struggles to keep track of their thread supply might find this very helpful. And you can add as many or as little pegs as you want based on how much thread you own.

Thanks for looking!
