The tops of my beloved Ballard Designs French cafe tables have become discolored. They are powder-coated and for some reason this made spray painting them unappealing to me. I had oil cloth covers, but they are over 2 years old, are wearing out, and the hook and loop fasteners weren't working out.

So I decided to go with some cotton print covers made with elastic like fitted sheets.

We eat dinner on the deck every night the weather complies and so far so good. WOO!

I have more details about construction with photos on my blog: http://suddenlytaxidermy.blogspot.com/2015/07/tables-i-got-ya-covered.html

Love the 'fig-leaf' too Smiley

Thank you! Yes, I leave the table covers on for days at a time, so they need to be secure.  I want it to look nice, but I am not going to commit to putting on and taking off a table cloth every night.

Thanks!  The drinks just your basic mojitos. I started with this recipe but added another 1/2 oz of rum. Our limes were extra juicy and it was delicious, so if I make them again w/ less juicy limes I might add a wedge or two.

You are so inventive and smart. I hate you... Grin Love the fabric you used, and the idea they are washable makes the project more amazing. Smiley

Uhhhhhh, thank you?  Kiss  And thank you!  I love that stripe, too. It has just about all the colors from the chair-back slip covers I made several weeks ago. I picked up another print to make a second set; the colors in that one are also great, but now that I have it home I think the pattern might be alllllll wrong.

Your projects are always so accurate. Like the dog car seat cover, and these. You must have a good measuring system.
