Living in Georgia, none of my relatives or friends want knitted winter-wear (hats, scarves and mittens.) (Sadface. Ikr, that rules out virtually all knitted things.)

What are some of your favorite things to knit that are quick and have good impact as gifts?

Examples - I knit my 20-something brother a really cool grey wristband on sock needles that was manly, that he liked, and it probably didn't even take an hour.
A teddy-bear is easy, and doesn't take toooo much time.

Any brilliant thoughts?!

I've made a few of these cabled bracelets, and I get lots of compliments on them. They might make a neat gift.
