I made this little guy yesterday and I'm just so happy how she turned out (he? She? Cheesy) - even if I was stitching til 5am and I probably have to go and get a carpal tunnel surgery done today, it was so worth it, as it turned out exactly how I wanted it to Cheesy

he measures about 11" long and is needle felted and then covered in chain stitches (hat off to embriderererers!), many, many of them Tongue

Hope You like!
(I also mad this yellow little guy - the golden tarantula baby, I like posing things/animals/insects together Cheesy)

I love your snake so much. It is beautiful and so lifelike.
I have to say I didn't like your spider - but that is because it is also extremely realistic and I am rather spider phobic Tongue

Both critters look absolutely fabulous--all that stitching must have taken the patience of a saint!  I also like that you put an armature (wire?) inside the serpent so that it can be posed in interesting ways.

WOW!! What a cool technique! The stitching gives the snake such an interesting shiny texture.

Amazing, I can totally understand how long that would have taken. there are a few times in my life when I thought I would have to have surgery on my wrists because of craft, so I know what you mean! Lol it's all worth it Wink

They're both so cute! I like the eyes on the little snake, and all those stitches, oh my. The tarantula is pretty fierce too.

Thank You, all, so much! <3

Yes- there's wire armature inside both of them and they're somewhat posable Smiley - and the stitching, while such a pain, is worth it and so relaxing and enjoyable. Funny thing- I have no patience, zero, but these things get me happily sit down for hours and I don't get bored.

I'm impressed with all the tiny stitching on the snake!
