Make ALL the things!!!

I have been saving some old issues of Game Informer Magazine and decided they would be perfect to make some wall art for my boys bedroom. I used a scrapbooking 1 inch circle cutting tool and cut out a lot of circles. I had two canvases, one I painted black and the other white and neon yellow. I then glued 19 rows of 9 circles on each canvas and added some design with cheap craft paint and a dylusions stencil. I think they turned out pretty cool - my kids loved them. Also, it was great to recycle the magazines. Thanks for looking!

Cool and colorful assemblages!  I like the one on black the better out of the two; aside from just preferring that darker hue in general, I feel that it contrasts more with the circles.

I also have huge stacks of back issues of Game Informer (and other gaming magazines), but I'd weep if somebody cut them up on me, 'cuz that's valuable video game knowledge that I routinely use!  I actually did slice up one of my older issues of Game Informer, back in the 90s, to make a collage for a school project, and I still deeply regret that decision to this day . . .

Thank you both so much! It's funny my boys and I do re-read them a few times before they are relegated to a pile where they never see the light again. Once we have all finished with them we haven't been quite sure what to do with them. I knew I wanted to keep them because the artwork on the covers alone are too cool to throw away. Once we had a large stack it finally hit me.....make something for their walls so they can continue to enjoy the images. This was actually really fun to make and a pretty quick project to knock out.
