I loved knitting this magical flower fairy.  Lots of short rows and beading went into her clothes and wings.  The wig was the first time I'd made one and it took an entire skein of yarn for her flowing locks.  Although she wants to fly around outside, her permanent home is on a bookshelf.

Beautiful fairy doll!  Her hair is exquisite, and I also love the autumn-foliage design of her dress.

It's from an excellent book - "Knitted Pirates, Princesses, Witches, Wizards & Fairies" by Annette Hefford.  Using the same body pattern, you can create all kinds of variations since all of the clothes are removable.

For my fairy, I played with the colors, embellished a bit more and added the daisy crown.

Thanks!  She's about 18 inches tall.  Definitely a time commitment!
