Finally found the stupid wire thing, here are the beautiful things I received......

From Ninaprettyballerina, a beautifully stitched robin. I love the simplicity.

and she also sent a wonderull book for my son (if I could, I would upload every page on here)

And from CraftCrazy13, another robin. It's so neat, I can never get things to look so perfect!

And my boy got another treat.....

There's a cage on the other side and when you twizzle it between your palms it looks like the bluetit is in the cage. The boy is very impressed.

Thank you to you both, we have been spoiled x

If you think that tiny crocheted robin is cute, check out this owl! Another amazing spikefan creation. Smiley

I love him! Thank you!

Yes!  I totally agree!  I can't believe how much cute is here!!

Artsy, Lana asked me the other day about the birdie piece and wants to try making one of her bird, Greenie.  So thank you for inspiring her to give papercrafting a try.  I'll post when she makes it!  Smiley

Zut alors, she has emerged!  (five points for Gryffindor if anyone can id that quote...)

what I mean to say is my bird arrived from the UK today. P_E_S_T created this kingfisher wonder which I am currently wearing around my neck (temporarily, as I am housesitting with two active dogs and they may go for it...)

so many awesome bits and details, including these 3 dangles at the bottom...

I am so happy to own this piece of art. Thank you so much, P_E_S_T !!

I love the Kingfisher! I can't quite tell, is it printed on the fabric, or otherwise applied? It's totally brilliant!

The twizzle stick is really smart! I would want it at work to fiddle with during conference calls! I've never seen/heard of one before. Is it just a painted dowel? How is the paddle attached, or does it just slide down the top?

Yay Smiley one down, one to go Smiley.
The bird is printed on fabric, then I have kantha stitched around it with some padding. This gives it a textural border and "lifts" the picture.
The materials used are, like all of my bits - old trash Smiley. Including the large fabric bead - which is one of many that I'm obsessively making.
So glad they have begun to arrive !
