I was so happy to get home on Saturday from an 18 hour drive to find my OTBT from sammylouise40 on Saturday!
I love it!

I pretty much spent the weekend sleeping and unpacking and yesterday morning doing laundry, I'm sorry I didn't post until now.
She went with my pigeon theme, as you can see:

It's going on the top of our bookshelf in the dining room!

I'm loving all the little birds, felted and crocheted and in boxes and in hoops in fabric. OOOOOO. I want every one of them. What a lovely collection.

I sorta expect a dime or a quarter to lay beside the pic of the item so we can see just how small it is. They look too 'wonderful and detailed' to be tiny!!

Look what I rec'd from joyfulclover! I'm just blown away. There are so many things to love and admire about this guy. She's incorporated piece-work (is that what you call it? different fabrics sewn together?), embroidery, and even added some little metal embellishments.  The color scheme is one of my favorites. He sits on this clever stand in his Spanish moss nest.

The beak is a dainty little metal bead. Love the pleated shimmery breast, whimsical stitched tail and beautiful embroidered head.

Oh yeah, and I just found out the wing pieces are movable. Jeesh! So cool:)
Awesome job JoyfulClover! This is her first swap and hopefully not her last.
Thanks again-

Yay!  I'm overjoyed you are seeing all the things I tried to include!  And your photos are so flattering!

I was very inspired by your love of art journaling and then used the color palette from a photo by Pat Ulrich (link below, fourth bird down).  Maybe someone here knows which one it is?
