It took me a bit, but I am so excited to post what I received from Toralune! She sent so much cool stuff Smiley
First, I should mention that I'm pregnant, expecting a girl in September, so I asked for some baby stuff.

Like these (EIGHT!) burp cloths, which I have heard you can never have too many of, in some awesome fabric! (washer and dryer safe, you're so thoughtful!)

Our friends are going to be so jealous of our stylish baby in her pacifier leash and bibs in super cool fabric Smiley Also our trekkie washcloth.
And if that wasn't enough, Stitch markers for mom in Hogwarts house colors!

I haven't been knitting for very long, so I was still using some very ugly plastic ones, these are a GREAT improvement.
And finally, some fleece to make something for our dog. I think I'm going to try making him a new bed Smiley

You spoiled us Toralune! My family thanks you Smiley

Oh, what a great package!! Your baby girl will be raised properly, Kiurious! Wink And I'm sooo jealous of the fabrics you have stateside... Country of origin of Doctor Who has absolutely NOTHING for sale ... really, the BBC missed a huge trick here!! Specially when they're currently auditioning for the Great British Sewing Bee season 4!!!

Loving all the baby stuff - I wanted to do this for my nephew, but his mum is very anti anything geeky, so I didn't bother  Sad

I have received the most lovely parcel of goodies, but have not had a chance to take photos yet. Will get pics up as soon as I can.

I received my package from seuudee last night and let me tell you, she makes me feel incredibly inadequate with her amazing crafting skills.

First, she and I had traded some of our favorite quotes from books for craft ideas. And obviously, since I liked one of them, she sent me the book!!

I can't wait to read it! (It's Glass Houses by Rachel Caine, since you can't tell at all in this pic). And what's better than a new book, oh right. A Nightwing/Batman bookmarker! NIGHTWING. You guys realize how hard it is to find Nightwing stuff?? I love it! If you flip it over, the other side is Batman too. It's the most perfect thing ever.

Then she made me the most adorable little Captain America bag

I know you can't tell in this pic because it's so dark, but the stitching on this thing is absolutely perfect! It's also fantastic timing because I've been looking for a Captain America bag to use for my "inconspicuous cosplay" of Capt stuff.

So while I absolute loved those items and it would have been enough to satisfy me alone, she took it to one more step.

Why yes, that is a Sailor Moon apron. The entire thing is so amazing I'm honestly afraid to put it on, let alone cook with it! I put it on last night and wouldn't take it off until it was time to go to bed. My husband kept teasing me the entire time! Pretty sure my reaction to him was something like "Don't care, it's SAILOR MOON." And obviously I had to sing the theme song at LEAST once while wearing it. It was a requirement.

So seuudee, I just have to say this:

Miss Martian: I feel so silly. Who knew a Martian could be vulnerable to a human virus?
Robin: Uh... H.G. Wells?

I am just so pleased you liked everything - I could have kept crafting for you, we had so many fandoms in common.

And thank you for the gorgeous Jensen Ackles - did we even discuss Supernatural? And I know I never told you I love Jensen the most!!

I feel really bad now, because I have not managed to get photos up yet and I received before you. I will try my best to get them up this evening.

haha I feel the same way! Seriously it's a little spooky how many fandoms we share.

And no, we never did talk about Supernatural! I keep trying to talk my husband into driving over to Lawrence, Kansas (where the Bunker is supposed to be located) since it's about 4 hours away but he keeps telling me I'm being silly. Plus, the boys keep going to Tulsa, so every time I try my whole "We should go to Lawrence and look for the bunker" routine, we just go to Tulsa instead XD

And don't worry about pics! That always seems to be one of the harder parts of the whole swap. Which is why I try to force myself to wait to even open the package until I know I'll have the chance to post pics too. I think I lasted 4 whole hours after I got your package before I just couldn't take the suspense anymore Smiley

You can wait FOUR HOURS to open a swap package? I can barely get out of the post office with one!  Grin

I carry a bag that says FREE KNITTING LESSONS on my daily transit commute, & give a little hands-on tutorial to anyone who asks. They get a starter kit with needles, enough cotton yarn to make a plain dishcloth and a set of instructions. Swaps/donations for materials welcome!
