I was so caught up in other projects and life stuff that I forgot to post these. D'oh!

The ManFlesh's office has an Employee Crisis Fund for which they have fundraisers which are sometimes bake sales. I usually try to contribute; this year they held one on St. Patrick's day so I decided to make cookies using my new embossed rolling pin. OoooOooo!

I cut cookies in the organization's acronym & wee shamrocks to bag  and large shamrocks.  After they were baked I dipped on edge into melted white chocolate, then sprinkled on green sugar while it was still soft. I set them on parchment paper and placed them in the refrigerator to solidify.

I put the organization initials and 5 mini shamrocks into cello bags, tied them with green bibbon and set them on a green platter covered with doily.  The large shamrocks in the top photo (i.e. a club from a playing cards set of cookie cutters) went to friends. And then I used the remaining dough to cut some of my favorites just for funsies: the handsaws and rhinos!

A faux bois rolling pin? I would guess that's your idea of the perfect kitchen accessory! Cheesy

I saw the first picture and thought that the cookie looked both good and delicious. Then, I saw the second one and wondered: " Why did she put a picture of wooden ornaments in there?" I had to go back to the title to read it again. Ah, ah, you sure fooled me and it wasn't even April first! Cheesy

Thanks, y'all!  The cookie recipe was something I found on pinterest and it leans to the dark or bittersweet in flavor, the white chocolate and sugar were a nice way to slightly sweeten the flavor and added a nice texture experience, too!    They were a big hit.  Grin

I'm not sure what faux Bois is, but, I clicked because it looked like it was on the wrong page: it looked like it was knit, or crocheted!  Tongue

They do look a little yarn-y!

From Google: "Faux bois (from the French for false wood) refers to the artistic imitation of wood or wood grains in various media. The craft has roots in the Renaissance with trompe-l'il."

And pronounced "foe bwah."
