Hi there,

I'm very new to sewing and I purchaced a 'Bimaa sweater' pattern from ebay that I would like to make my 3yr old... It says to use 4-way knit stretch fabric. I have some Platinum ribbing fabric in my stash and was wondering if this would be ok to use for the entire garment? I think (as I said I'm new to sewing) it's they type of fabric used for cuffs, but would it work as a nice sweater? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you  Grin

Personally, I'd say no.  But just because I made a top out of ribbing for my son once and it just didn't look right.  I'm picky though and it can depend on the ribbing.
