For the Be AWESOME (redux) Swap, which is totally awesome BTW, I whipped up a little travel sewing kit for the super mega awesome noodle-bug. She had this pattern on her Pinterest and I thought I'd give it a go.

The inside:

And then the tins inside the pockets; one to hold all the sewing stuff and one to hold completed hexies. After making the hexies for the front of the kit I sorta kinda went a little bonkers making them and sent those along too. AugustBell's needle minder tutorial inspired me to make a strawberry to stick to the lid. Mind them needles!

That is awesome for sure! And now I need some flat tins to store my on-the-go hexies!

Lots and lots and then some more hand stitching, but the pattern is easy to follow and fun to do. But only for noodle-bug.

oOOOoohhhh!  Hexagons!  I thought it had something to do with having a traveling kit to put a hex on someone! *snort*.  It looked way to cheery to to be that...so I was very confused.  Thanks...being confused is kind of fun Grin

Wonderful!
The bag is extremely well made. The colors are fun and bright. The tiny boxes are adorable. The strawberry needle minder adds just the perfect touch of cuteness.
I would make hexies all day if I had such a beautiful kit, and I have not ever made one for now.
