I am a musician, and have been thinking about the evolution of sound recording. It's really amazing how far we've come, and so much information can be stored in such little space now.

I was inspired by LesliesHappyHeart's scrappy fabric bracelet tutorials (and gozer's recent revival of them in the nerd battles) , so I decided to make one as an homage to the progress of sound recording.

I made shrinky dink charms of a wax cylinder, a vinyl record, a cassette tape, a CD, and an MP3 player (I wasn't sure how to depict an mp3...), and used them in this anklet.

Also, when I wear it, the charms jingle (clack?) a little bit. Go sound!

Lovely colors for the fabric. Now, you could dance the hula with such pretty anklets.

Love it! Also the idea of shrinky dink charms; must remember that to try for myself! ^^
