I recently drew a bunch of illustrations and decided to start embroider a couple of the design and this is the first one... the blue background is acrylic paint and the embroidery is on duct canvas, the eyes are small doll eyes and this is a 6 inch loop.

Cute.  Did you embroider before or after painting?  The canvas would be horrible to get a needle through once it's painted!

I painted it after, the white you see is the original duct canvas.. I'm working on a new one but using a thin wool for it and it's a lot smoother to sew through... I don't think I will use duct canvas again because it was difficult to work with.
