I just finished these for my 4 year old twins:

My kids love sticking their hands in the warmest mittens they may ever own. It's like snuggling your hands up with a bunch of clouds. I have made a diagonal rainbow version for twin #2.

Pattern: Thrummed Mittens by Joan Janes
Size: Child
Yarn: Cascade 220 Heathers Worsted Weight Wool, less than 1/2 a skein used.
Roving: Red, orange, yellow green, blue
Method: Magic-loop
Needles: Size US 5
Started: February 3rd, 2015     Completed: February 8th, 2015
Mods: 1x1 ribbing, 1 more increase for thumb, less decreases for mitten shaping

For a bunch for photos and info on this project, check out my blog post: http://knitting-up-a-storm.blogspot.com/2015/02/fo-rainbow-thrummed-mittens.html

Thanks for looking!

Those look lovely. I can imagine they would be as warm as sheepskin gloves. What a great idea.

Wow, those are so cool!  I love how colorful they are.  And most importantly, your little guy looks happy to be wearing them.  Smiley
