I love me some chickens, so decided to make my own pattern.  I have one more color of chicken fur to go.  The black and white is my favorite but really tough to sew.  The white is the cuddliest but I need a lung transplant after working with that material! Has anyone else worked with that curly fur?  Yikes!!

Those are brilliant. They look so real. The black and white looks exactly like barred feathers. I guess it is quite a pig to cut and to sew.

So lovely, so chichenish Grin. You must share your pattern. I've always wanted chickens, but my spouse (and town ordinance) say no. Ah. Grandma had chickens and I remember gathering eggs from the noisy little creatures. Always chattering and murmuring.

They are simply lovely.

Thanks all!  I have a coop full of REAL chickens and two of them are barred rocks so I was so excited to find that fur on line!  Cmarion my pattern making skills are such that probably only I can understand them but I'll work on that.  Wink

I thought you must have had live chickens close by to make such realistic birds! And that barred "chicken fur" is too perfect not to use for this.
