My partner, RebeccaJay is in England. Most of the notebooks/ journals available in England are A5 size, which is 5.8 x 8.3 inches. Did you know that you can't get that size in the US, I looked EVERYWHERE. I told her I would still make here a journal cover that size, but I was a little worried about sizing without the book.
Well, my husband had a great idea. Did you know that Staples will bind a book for you? That means they have a book shearer for cleaning up the edges. I bought a journal and had it trimmed to that size. Isn't he clever?
In case anyone is having that issue, this was an easy solution.
Sorry, can't help if you need it bigger Tongue

Subee that is a great idea! Nope, won't work for me, 'cause I bought the A5 size which is smaller that the comp book you are using. In the Netherlands, we have the A5 size too. I searched the internet, but your size isn't available here  Undecided
That is why I will send CMB 2 notebooks (or 3 if that fits!), but since she is my friend I can send her a few at another moment!

It is still a good idea though!

I could have made a cover with the measurements, but I like to fit it and see if it fits good enough. And I'm not good at working with measurements haha!

Subee! That's great. Thank Mr. Subee for us, will you.

I am just checking in. I will be getting to actual work in the next couple days. I've done some stalking and am trying to decide on materials and what not.

I can't wait to see what everyone is working on!

So glad I already started on BrandyK's. It's going to get harder to find quiet time to sew because We got our latest foster placement! Hubby and I are chasing after a toddler.  Grin Wish I could share pics. Know that he's a cutie pie.  Kiss

So exciting! So happy for you guys. Cuddle & chase him lots! A quick, simple but pretty cover will do me just fine. You are going to have to change your signature if he's too busy of a toddler (ie a typical toddler Smiley)

I do believe I've finished!  This project has reinforced the explanation as to why I'm not a quilter.  All the measuring stresses me out!  rscowtown will have to forgive me.  I have a feeling she's much better at that sort of thing!  That being said, I really like the design I came up with and I hope she will too!
A few last minute stitches and it'll be on it's way! Cheesy

I'm making progress, yet slowly. I'm _________ a ___________ for the embellishment first. Then I will sew it together. I think I'll use option 2, I hope it goes well as I have limited amounts of one of my fabrics, although I could always use an excuse to buy more :-)
