Crafting to keep insanity at bay.

I made *cough* I mean found this curious guy hiding out in a discarded coke can and decided he needed a better, more loving home. I housed him in this shell which he took to rather quickly and send him off to The Raging Sloth for his forever home. He is rather shy so only sticks his tentacles out to explore the world around him and to eat of course. He's sitting in a pool of rocks and moss and it is all filled in with some resin for good measure. The tentacles are actually made from poly clay which got a bit singed on the tips when cooking (whoops!) but actually I like the darkened tips as an interesting feature. I know the Raging Sloth will be the best friend he sorely needs.  Smiley

Thanks for looking! I'd love to hear any comments or thoughts  Cheesy

Okay, my comments are: this is incredible, I love it so much, and you are amazing.  My thoughts are: stop being jealous of the Raging Sloth, I wish I knew how to work with resin, and...stop being jealous of the Raging Sloth.  Wink

So flipping awesome! He looks awesome, and I am sure he is glad you found him. His new home is much better than an old coke can.

I really like his darkened tips, if you hadn't of told us I would have thought you designed him that way.

He looks so real! And I agree: you should modify your post and claim that you discovered a way to successfully darken the tips of the tentacles to enhance the completed project.  Cheesy

Stunning. It just looks real.  From the thumbnail I thought it might be a recipe involving prawns  Grin

Haha, you guys are too funny. I'm so thrilled everyone thinks it looks so realistic, I was really hoping I had pulled that off. He's so cute and tentacly, and he really loves to cuddle once he's warmed up to you.

I love him and I am amazed that the tips were an accident because it looks great! I had no idea it was an accident so I think it's awesome either way. I can't stop showing it to people.
