needlesandpinsel, yep! I usually draw something very lightly on the fabric first in pencil, and then lately I've found it to be helpful to very lightly paint around the outer edges with some kind of blocking agent (I have something my Mom gave me that is specifically for this purpose, but I imagine Modge Podge may work fine) because it prevents the watercolors from bleeding outside my pencil lines - unless you wanted that kind of effect, of course!
