Is this really the first Fiber Friday of 2015? Have y'all been slacking on the spinning, or just being lazy when it comes to sharing that yarn-y goodness? Tongue

Well I'm gonna get this party started with a little something I saved from the dark recesses of hibernation.

Ta-da! 3-ply lace weight merino spun and plyed on a .8oz top whorl drop spindle.

Here it is pre-dyeing, still on the niddy noddy, with a penny for some size comparison. I measured this guy at about 20 wraps per inch, which leaves my mind boggled at what the wpi would be for the singles (of which is still have some left over). Those singles will eventually become their own yarn, but I think that may be saved for another Fiber Friday.

What kind of spinning has everyone else been up to in the early days of this new year?

Looks amazing! I got a drop-spindle as a xmas gift and I'm still figuring it out. I've been able to spin some singles but I haven't been brave enough to try plying it. You've given me inspiration!

Holy crap, that looks all mill spun and stuff. Pretty amazing.

I haven't been spinning lately. Sad, but other priorities you know?

Thank you all! Grin I'm really proud of how well this one turned out. I can't stop fondling the swatch I knit up. It's most likely destined to be a pair of fingerless gloves for my sister, but I can't decide whether I want it to be in plain stockinette or if I want to do some embellishing to them.

Oh the decisions!

That yarn is delectable!  Love the dye job too!
I'll admit. I've got a ton of yarns to share. but.... I've been lazy with taking pictures and posting.
