A creeptastic Baba yaga mirror

As well as a saddle eating brocade moth (that I couldn't keep my hands off of because it feels like brocade & suede)

Everything is so COOOOOL!  First I have to say, "LOOK!  A baby Wulf!"  no wait...it's a gnome!  That's cool too Grin  The Baba Yaga collection is very clever and the moth is gorgeous.  And I LOVE the tuna can creature.  I saw the real thing on line and was glad it was not me that found it...but the "specimen" is FABO Grin>  And then OMG!  A MLP FOSSIL!  So clever Grin.  And the robo dog..cat...weasel.. (?) is amazing!  Such a freeking cool gallery Grin

So many amazing curiosities!  I am really enjoying this gallery.   Cheesy  I really love the gold beetles, the fossil and the metal figure!

I received my curiosities from artsycandice!  Cheesy

The first curiosity I opened was this....

a lovely little soft needle felted sculpture that she calls a piece of forest magic.   I love the little leaves, pink dots and the wire, very pretty!   Smiley

And then I opened this....

an amazing clockwork bird!   This is so detailed and I absolutely love it!  Cheesy   This is the item she was mentioning in the thread that she was having a hard time parting with.  And I can see why!    So pretty!   Smiley

Thank you so much, artsycandice!!!    Smiley

WOW!  Beautiful - and so different!  That felted bit of forest magic is fantastic, so organic looking.  You just want to squeeze it a little bit and see what comes out... And I'm in awe of the mechanical bird.  Kind of steampunk-meets-milagro.  Great!

I had great fun with bellyjewel's package.  She had mentioned that she was intrested in artifacts from villainesses, and I immediately thought of the witch Baba Yaga.  I lik the origami butterfly enough I made a few more for myself!

I can't wait for the next round of this swap!

I have got to check in to the Gallery more often. Leaving it for a day or two is too overwhelming! Like everyone, I'm a big fan of the tuna can critter. (I hadn't heard of this horror, and I'm determined not to Google it. Tongue) But the gold bugs are very dear to my heart. They're so realistic - what are they made of?

Thank you for gluing the weasel's jaw back on, Ludi. I was afraid there might be damage in transit, but I never expected that! You've replaced it exactly as it was originally. Jessica Joslin! Thank you! It was totally inspired by her work, but I absolutely could not remember her name! (And I don't have any photos better than the one you posted - it's very clear.)

But out of all that's been posted in the Gallery so far (and it's pretty epic), the curiosity I'm most envious of is the Baba Yaga mirror. I think I wouldn't be able to stop looking into it. I also love the felted forest magic an awful lot. Oh, and the cardigan-winged bat!  Kiss How awesome is that!

The forest magic and bird are so beautiful, and I especially like the creepy comb.
