I'm still making bottle brush tree decorations and I don't see me stopping!

This one is for my mom who has recently remodeled her hall bathroom.  It's mostly neutral colors, including a rusty, reddish brown.  When I did my first ombre tree using the "tan" Rit dye, the colors immediately reminded me of her color scheme.  So I searched out an appropriate base and found this nickel candlestick at the thrift store; all her fixtures are nickel.

I adore bottle brush trees - they remind me of my great grandparents.  Love the sparkly bow!

Thanks y'all!

I'll tell you a long-held secret: the T in TheMistressT stands for "tree."
(which rhymes with P which stands for poop (stands for pool))

Lovely and understated as usual, MizT!

I've been amassing cheap rhinestone jewelry*, and have a goal of completing one tree a month.   *(my husband comments about all the paypal charges on the credit card bill, "You made 12 purchases for 27 cents each???"  and my favorite, "What's this $5.99 purchase?" --it was the new TV remote for him)

Sadly, life is getting in the way--I have other projects with deadlines including a display of miniature buildings and room boxes my mini club is putting up at the local art center for the whole month of February.  And we need trees to make it look like a town.  Green trees, not pink and orange and purple trees.

I'll have to spend at least 8 hours a week babysitting the show for the whole month of Feb, and we'll have room to work while sitting, so I plan to bring TRDs (Trees Ready to Decorate) and a box of sparkly stuff.  My friends Patrice and Claudia each need a tree for their birthdays in Feb and March, that should get me going.

Oh, what fun you're having and going to have!  I can't wait to see what you come up with.
