Sorry you're sick, Bushbaby. Love the Celtic knot border and I know it'll look even better than it already does when it's been blocked.

Nice shawl, bushbaby, you incorporated an interesting mixture of textures/patterns into your creation.  I particularly like the repeating celtic knot(?) pattern in the white section.

I started my Junker Jane doll the other night (I sewed together and inverted the body, but haven't done any stuffing or other detail work on it yet), but, I'm not sure that I like my design at this point, so, I may start over again.

Thanks. Although the gradient colour scheme was my idea the shawl pattern wasn't. It's called 'Ishneich' and the designer, Lucy Hague, is scottish. It's one of seven designs she released in a book.

Well, I haven't touched my in-progress Junker Jane doll in days, but I got my "One Tiny Bird Thing" done.  It's a "Great Beak" from the Dragon Quest series of video games by Square-Enix.  It's tiny, it's a bird, and it's also a thing, so I'd say I successfully met the swap's parameters.

And here's a link to the separate thread if you'd like to see more photos of the Great Beak figurine and read my ramblings about it:

I think you have just developed the next big thing in tiny pets!  You could call them Fingersnappers Grin  I suppose they would be very helpful in keeping mice away from ones home Grin

Wow, you all have been busy!  It's great to see so many creative projects and talented artisans.  I hope everyone is staying warm and healthy in this weather.

My fake swap partner and I are fakeswapping some household chores.  (Not a real fake-swap, I know Smiley  Instead it's a FLakeswap!)  She washed dishes; I dried.  She sorted laundry; I folded from the dryer.  She ordered some carob chips, and I will sample the carob muffins that she will make tomorrow.  Then I will wash the dishes and she will dry.  I swear that girl knows me inside and out.  We take turns reading the same books.  She has set aside some projects in order to help her hubby put down a floor in the garage.  What a coincidence - I have unfinished creations, too!  Fabric for a doggie coat (and a few other items) has been cut but not sewn.  On a good note, DH and I are making progress with nailing beams and plywood for a floor in an unheated detached garage.  Eventually the space will be for woodworking tools, saws, staining, etc.  There will be time for crafts once this is finished. Smiley

Thank for the comments!

To be honest, while I may joke otherwise, I don't really think of these things as swapping with myself, I consider them to be more like an assignment/project for an art class.  Yes, I select subject matter than interests me, but it's more about "forcing" myself to produce some artwork (it's funny how a deadline will do that) than any strong desire for the object in question.
