I love the spoon, pinokeeo!

The afghan is pretty; I like the colors I will admit that cheap acrylic yarn is pretty much the only yarn I ever buy (but then, I'm not a knitter or crocheter, I just use it for doll hair and the occasional attempt at learning to knit I sometimes stare at expensive, soft yarn with special details or vibrant color gradients but it's not worth the money given what I do with it xD)

The steampunk skirt has all my love, cursive_queen. It's so nice! Your stepdaughter is lucky! The quilts are gorgeous too, the one for your husband's nephew is so beautiful with the gradient-like shades of green!

that1girl, those crochet squares look so delicate will you make a blanket or something out of them?

I almost hate looking at your yarn goodies, that1girl!  I always seem to add a pattern to my "to do" list!

Like that lovely little shawl!  I could use a lovely little rainbow shawl like that!

More quilt blocks finished...and waiting for partners to receive:

Hi guys and gals  Smiley

Nothing crafty to share but wanted to thank all who have asked about me & my beloved Matt and have said prayers and asked for blessings for us both. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It's been a tough 6 weeks so far but we're getting by, I'm at the hospital 5 days out of 7 so my crafting has to be portable, I've almost finished another doily but now Matt is aware and able to talk I don't stitch as much.
He is on the mend, a slight step backwards yesterday but progressing again now fingers crossed he will be moving to a rehabilitation ward at the Community Hospital, its a bit further away but less medical care which has to be a good thing. We've been told h :-*e will be at least a month in rehabilitation as he has lost so much muscle mass/strength during his illness. He will be losing most of his toes, I know this sounds awful but 4 weeks ago I was told he's probably lose most of his fingers as well but they rather remarkably recovered. Anyone feeling curious can Google "necrosis due to Hypoxia" but it's not a pretty sight, I assure you.

Next week I should take delivery of a new sewing machine so the baby projects will be back as soon as I learn to use it  Cheesy

Edel I haven't forgotten I owe you for our personal swap, goodies will be forthcoming in time.

Keep crafting my friends and I will hopefully be rejoining you all soon

So sorry to hear of you problems, Kookaloo, but it sounds like things are looking up.  Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Matt.

I made this box, but now I don't know what to do with it.  I made it just to see if it would turn out, and it's better than I expected.  The top is entirely of plywood veneer pieces.  I've discovered that you can make almost anything out of shop scraps.  The lines that you see are in the wood.  I blackwashed it, then varnished.

The box came lovely! It has a bit of a classy feel to it  Wink Did you add any lining to the inside? If not, red velvet would really go well with the box.  Grin

Yeah, I think I'm going to line it, although I was thinking of black felt.

Classy looking box!

I have been seeing a few wood projects made with wood scraps...I will ask the powers to be to see about revisiting the woodcrafts category...there are so many interesting things that can be made...I am loving that traditional "male" crafts are being taken up by women and vice-versa!  I love working with saws, hammers and power tools myself!

kookie--it is wonderful to hear from you...hope that rehab goes well for Matt...sorry about his losing body parts, but they are able to do miraculous things these days...so wonderful that you are able to be with him through this...we are still sending positive thoughts your way.
