Thanks, LovelyMiss! And, you absolutely could do something like that! I could attempt to sketch out a little tutorial for you, if you'd like Smiley When it's broken down into steps, it's totally manageable!

I'm hoping to finish my January Battle project tonight! I pulled a muscle shoveling yesterday, so I'm hoping it isn't a problem. I think if I don't move my arms a lot, I should be okay Smiley

Prompt: January Battle Royale- WARM vs Cold
Team: Fandom
Project Name:  Long stem red rose
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=437898.0
I am NOT a fan of cold weather. AT ALL. I mean, yes, it's more sane to wear lots of black when it's cold out but I just love warmth/heat. (My dad says I'm part dragon.) Though I've got seasonal allergies, I love when the weather gets warm because my mom's rose bush goes into full bloom and it looks spectacular. Actually, the crazy thing blooms in the cold sometimes, too, but there are more roses on it in the warm weather. So, in the spirit of warmth, have a long stem red rose!

Project Name:  Fleece Swiffer Dusters
Brief Description:  We love Swiffer Dusters, but I wanted to try out a reusable option.  These are made from fleece, which is a handy material for the cold.  So far they seem to be working okay.  Haven't washed them yet, though.

Research Project Proposal

Research Project Name:  Days for Girls Shields
Team:  Randomizer
Brief Description: My other project didn't pan out...I just didn't get enough time before we had to go back to school.  I finished two scarves, and shared them with two of my friends (chosen because I hadn't done much for them compared to the other members of my cohort, and because one of them commented on a similar scarf I wore last month).  Anyway, I ordered some PUL fabric and plan to give Days for Girls shields a try.  It's the one kit item I haven't attempted yet because I never thought my sewing was up to par...but I think I've made enough progress that I will give it a try and see how it goes.  I would like to finish six to 10 shields.  I am not sure how long they will take, and if I decide I can't stitch well enough yet, I don't want to over-commit.  It's a trial, and will defintely require research!  Cheesy

MMM, I love roses, and yours is a beauty (no pun intended), Freakie!

Lovely Miss, you have been very busy!  I really like the yarn you used on the scarves - so pretty!  I need to make myself some of those swifter thingies.  It's so cool that you are going to stretch your sewing muscles on such a great charity project!

Ooh LovelyMiss those scarfs are fabulous! I need to make some of those Swiffer things! They look amazing and will surely cost much, much less than the refill packs!

Calabaza, love that macaron! I love things with radioactive symbols on them. I used to draw that symbol on my folders and binders in school Cheesy That etui is pretty cool! That's another project that I definitely need to tackle. I'm always losing my needles Tongue

That's what I love about this thread: I see awesome nerdy things and want to make myself at least half of the awesome stuff I see Cheesy
