Ooo, fabric origami! I looked into that a few years back but never did much of anything. I think you might have inspired me to take another peek.

Woo hoo!!

Awesome at igloo Ludi. That looks so cozy. Could you make one people-sized and ship it up here, pretty please? Grin

Did you use a pattern (and if you did...can you share the info) or dream it up from your own fertile mind. My kitties would probably love this..or not. You know how cats are, but I do have an older one who is getting creaky. Poor thing.

Thanks!  I made the pattern up; it's just a pyramid with rounded sides.  The base is 18 inches square.  There are three layers of fabric - the inner is shearling, middle layer is an old mattress pad, and the outside is some old upholstery fabric.  This is all made from stash.  Smiley

Prompt:  December - Around the World - Japan
Team: Randomizer
Bonus Points: n/a
Project Name: Cute Narwhal
Project Link: n/a
Brief Description: I made this cute Narwhal for a friend for her birthday.  Her birthday was in November, but I didn't make this until December.  All of my friends know that I'm always late with crafted gifts. Smiley  I used my Inktense pencils for the narwhal and a combination of paint and old gelli prints for the background. The narwhal is mounted on some cardboard and then attached to the background with foam mounting squares to create a little depth.

It's been a while since I commented so here it goes...
Inselaeffchen The coasters and placemats are wonderful! You did a great job on them. Love the Snitch.
Ludi Insane Ninni. Shocked That guy is absolutely amazing! And Yay for a warm bed for Hermione! I am making a bed for my neighbors cat tonight. Its going to get cold this week and she needs a warm place outside to sleep. If she were indoor I would attempt one like yours. It looks cozy!
Crazyda79 As a huge fan of Jack (hes tattooed on my foot) I love the tree you did with your kids! They did a great job on the ornament as well! Very sweet butterfly ornament. Cute snowman ornament too. I like his earmuffs. How did the gesso turn out? Looks very interesting! Adorable little stocking cap too! And again, very sweet for you babies memory boxes.
Rockingbearranch interesting coffee recipe. You kind of lost me with the egg though. LOL! Guess I am just a city girl. Now your ice cream I could get with though! LOL! Looks so yummy.
Bunny1kenobi Adorable hat! And yes, I want to see that action shot.
Tanath My year flew by before my eyes too! I love that little star you made. It is very pretty and looks so intricate.
LovelyMiss Wonderful birdhouses. I like the idea of the scraps to help the birds make nests.
vincentvanbuck I am sure roler loved both items. They are very cool.
CraftADDchick- That reindeer hat is absolutely adorable! Love his nostrils (now how often do you get to say that?). The bags are wonderful as well. Like that butterfly fabric. But the guinea pigs take the cake. So cute. And the fact that they are a pair make them even cuter! The owl man turned out amazing! I love that he is a marionette! Too cool. And thanks again fro helping me with my Christmas!
Amaranth_in_oz amazing ATCs. Love the use of the dark background. The butterfly is such a fantastic thing to add.
Roler Very pretty stocking. Love that red fabric.
Calliemae Cute frogs, sad story. Who new caffeine could be used that way?
Artsycandice Very festive and pretty Christmas trees. And what a sad story with the male chicks! I do like what you ended up with though. Adorable illustration for Kwality570. I am sure she loved that. It is right up her alley. I like the little green monster in the upper left corner best. Great fox too! Beautiful ATC as well. I always love to see new ways to use up scraps. Your cicadas are awesome.
Kwality570 LOVE that narwhale! It is amazing. The background turned out cool too. I just got a pack of the Inktense pencils for Christmas but I havent opened them yet. I need too! Did you use them on cardstock or water color paper? Love the look!
