Making my own costumes for Halloween has always been fun (and a lot of work), but this year I went above and beyond anything I had done before. The corset I had made for another event a while back and gave me the idea to be the Queen of Hearts for Halloween this year. It was an extremely rewarding costume to make. Every item in the costume is handmade aside from the jewelry and the arm warmers, which I painted. As far as how many hours went into making it, I cannot tell you. I started the corset in mid-August and the rest was done in the few weeks preceding Halloween.

Waw! I love every bit of this costume! (And I would totally wear that bolero -minus the card collar- as daily wear, it's glorious! ^_^)

You look gorgeous! Especially love the bolero.  The card collar is so clever. I wish I could think of such things. Just wonderful!

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.
