My daughter and her friend needed a theme for their costumes this year.  A pair of something…which eventually led us to the Thing One and Thing Two costumes (of course!); characters from the Dr Suess books.

All the materials were from a great store in the mission of SF: Discount Fabrics.  Material consisted of red fleece, velcro and 2 blue feather boas.  We traced each body on a double layer of fleece; then sewed the two pieces together.  The more odd the shape the more “thing”ish it was.   It made for a comfy suit!  My daughter crafted the thing 1 and thing 2 labels on the front …with an exacto knife, great precision, and a hot glue gun.

The girls created the 4 finger Seuss gloves as well – not pictured though.  The hat was a feather boa swirled and tacked on to a baseball cap.  Not as easy as it sounds Wink.

It was great fun for all of us – and the girls are now expert seamstresses!

Wow, they look great! Do you have a larger picture you could link to? I'd be happy to reveal it in your post. The one right now is so tiny; I'd love to see details!

EDIT: Thanks for the link; they look really great in the larger photo!
