holly, my first thought was dark gray too. red would also be sweet!

I noticed it seems like a lot of people on etsy post their items in topics in the etsy forums, but I get a negative vibe every time I click over there and as a result I hardly ever read the forums (I know, I know, I'm a wuss!)

Hi Everyone!
I finally got up enough nerve to start an Etsy store!
It's nice to have a place to sell our handmade items!

I'd really appreciate any feedback you all could give on my store!
I plan to post more items in the next few days....

I've been on Etsy for a bit, and so far still no sales Sad  I haven't had much time to make new stuff to list, what with school and all, but I'm hoping that over the summer I can load up my inventory and attract some customers. I've been handing out cards to people who comment on the stuff I've made for myself, plus I try to give the link to whoever I can online, but so far no luck.

no background and no border....just the tree, the owl, the moon and the leaf.  White would work but what about gray or red (with just the leafy outline)?  I'm mulling...
gray or red would work...I think I'd like it pink with the red leaf!

Hey everybody!
So, my shop's been up and running for about a month , give or take, and I've sold 5 items so far. Four were from this month alone. I'm really excited and hoping it keeps picking up for me. Recently I've been posting alot on the forums, and have bought a couple of items, I'm thinking that might help a bit too. Does the future of Domesticated Mess look rosy? Tell me what ya'll think!

Yay me! I got my first real sale in over a month! I'm so so so relieved. I was starting to think my shop was dead. I sold a dead ninja pincushion, and now i'm gonna go and relist. Don't you guys wish they had some sort of button next to your sold items giving you the option of relisting without having to write out your descriptions and everything all over again?

When a person buys something from your shop through paypal how long after the transaction at etsy, should the payment go through on paypal?  My first sale it was right away and now, my second sale (hooray!) it hasn't come yet....so I'm curious.
Thanks, you all are wonderful.

hi everyone. so, i *just* finished setting up a blog! i am pretty thrilled with the results so far. i have never really done anything with html before (except for a few days in my gr. 9 computer class....which was back when the internet wasn't really mainstream yet) so i pretty much taught myself as i went. i still haven't sussed out how to get rid of the standard header and stick my banner in there instead. but i'll worry about that another day.

for now i'ma just sit back, sip on my red wine and relish... Cool

it depends on how long the person takes to make the paypal payment. if they have not paid within 7 days, i'd send a friendly "reminder" email. also, check your paypal account directly. i've noticed that some people have not been receiving the paypal/etsy emails properly. hope that helps (and i hope your money comes soon!)  Smiley
