I found this heavy vintage car upholstery fabric at the local fabric outlet.  I probably should have made the purse a bit larger, but I have more fabric--so I will probably make a tote next.

Thanks.  I did not use a specific pattern.  I drew this up myself.  I went with fairly simple pieces so I could try to match the plaid.

Thanks golden8harvest.  It did not take long once it was cut out.  It took about an hour to make the pattern.  I have added pictures of my pattern pieces.  It is very simple.  I did not make a pattern for the strap.
