An altered book owned by an eccentric adventurer. He travels the world going wherever the wind blows him with his trusty book containing everything he needs on his travels. Lots of strange, curious or practical nick-knacks have accumulated on the book on one journey or another, including a wooden spoon!

I had so much fun putting this together, thinking of all the things he might have collected along the way, and searching for the perfect items for him. Smiley

The wee jar has sequins and handmade beads in...because you never know when you'll need to fancy up your clothes to party when you're travelling. You might meet royalty! Cheesy

Scissors, paintbrush, button, spare key...

Boyancy aid, wooden spoon and peg. Just in case!

It doesn't open so you just get a little glimpse of what lurks inside it. Papers, tickets, lace, maps, random playing card...

This is fabulous, Phizzy! Love it even more because it does not open. So you can dream and ponder what lies inside. Smiley

Thank you so much! I love that you can imagine all sorts of tales with it too. I think that I've been watching the series Sinbad probably has a lot to do with the inspiration for it Cheesy

How fabulous! I can just imagine what the character who carried this was like and what journeys it must have been on. It really looks care worn. Smiley

This definitely caught my eye - I love it... but I have to say that your buoyancy aid is making me hungry - it is making me think of bagels!

I am becoming more curious as to what kind of adventures this gentleman was up to- with the lace and playing cards sticking out hinting at some roguishness.
